LaMariposa is the named ‘Data Controller’ of the personal data you provide for the Embodied Moves mailing list.
Why we need your data:
We need to know your basic personal data in order to provide you with on-going updates, marketing & information. We will not collect any personal data from you that we do not need in order to provide & oversee this service to you.
How we keep your data:
We use GDPR compliant, double opt-in sign up forms for regular updates in Mailchimp. You will receive emails about your booking status for bespoke one to one sessions & workshops until you advise us otherwise. We use Meet up, Eventbrite, Fetlife, Facebook pages & groups for advertising purposes & we also sometimes use Google Forms & Smart Survey feedback forms with which there is optional additional identification.
How long we keep your data:
Your information we use for marketing & educational purposes will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.
Bespoke sessions & workshops:
We will make notes in sessions to help track progress & actions. Handwritten notes are kept stored in a locked container & destroyed 5 years after our last session. Online/digital notes are kept in a password protected file. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected for workshop sign ups, via the website & in sessions. Your information will not be sold, reused, rented or disclosed to unspecified third parties.
You are entitled to see any information held about you & may request any necessary changes to ensure that it is accurate & kept up-to-date. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. While our online posts may be viewed by children, we do not seek to receive data from children.
Breach of privacy:
If for any reason you believe that your privacy has been breached through the use of this site, please let the Data Controller know immediately by email & we will do our best to promptly determine & correct the problem.
Updates:
Do check this policy regularly as we will keep it up to date. When we do, we will also revise the “last updated” date at the top of the privacy policy. Please contact the Data Controller if want to discuss any information contained here.
